Surf Trip to Morocco With The Pirate Coast Surf Traders

ViewFromVillaThe first time the surf in Morocco caught my attention was in the Dane Reynolds First Chapter surf movie. After that it was the incredible footage found in Sipping Jetstreams. Since then I have been well aware of the amazing right point breaks that Morocco has to offer and have found myself searching for Morocco footage often on YouTube. Funny thing is, when thinking of future surf trips, Morocco never comes to mind for me. I always have imagined it as a super expensive surf trip that I won’t be able to afford till later on in life. That was before I heard about Pirate Coast Surf Traders and their Surf Villa in Morocco. The prices reminded me of another trip I went on last summer…I backpacked around Europe for two weeks and had a great time, except for the fact that I didn’t get to surf. While in Europe I paid on average 15 euros a night to stay in a hostel, and that is the starting price per night to stay in this Moroccan Surf Villa, which, by the way, looks way nicer than the hostels I stayed in across Europe.

Pirate Coast Surf Traders specialize in taking care of your surf trip needs in a variety of exotic locations around the world. In Morocco, they have a Surf Villa in Tamraght that is for rent for surfers. The architecture is really cool, both inside and out, and the prices are even better. It costs between 15 and 27 euros a night, or 105 to 189 euros a week. The 4-bedroom villa can sleep up to 12 guests, and has a great view of the city, mountains and coastline.

The essentials of a surf trip are all met by Pirate Coast Surf Traders in Morocco; board rentals, surf lessons, and surf excursions. The boards for rent are Walden, Webber, Modern, 7S, Aloha, NSP, Blue, and South Point, so if airline fees are too high for you, then don’t stress too much. Pirate Coast Surf Traders will most likely have a board that will be perfect for you.

Now that you know about the great Surf Villa and the services offered, let me tell you why you should make this surf trip happen. The perfect right point breaks in the region are some of the best in the world. If you don’t believe it, start doing some research on YouTube for spots like Banana Point, Devil’s Rock, Anchor Point, Mysteries, Killer Point, Draculas, and Boilers. These surf spots are all within short distance of the Surf Villa in Morocco. There are long rippable walls, and crazy thick barrels that last forever. Morocco has something to cater to every surfer’s ability. The waves look so good, and the prices are so perfect, that I am seriously thinking about making this happen, and I am a goofy foot! If I’m willing to travel to Morocco to surf backside the whole time, then you regular foots really need to check out Pirate Coast Surf Traders’ Moroccan Surf Villa.
