Sunglasses: Bruce Irons HIJINX

Not being an avid sunglass wearer, but growing tired of constantly squinting in the sun, I have begun to casually look for a pair.  Well, a cousin of mine who works for Oakley just lent me a pair of sunglasses so I could try them out.  I decided to share with you my experience.

BRUCE IRONS SIGNATURE SERIES HIJINX  Bruce Irons HIJINX

I was pleasantly surprised by them.  As it was only a test trial, I tried to wear them as often as possible during the time that I had them and they really got the job done.  The best thing about them is the frame design.  They look stylish, but not too stylish, and I really liked the size and the fit around the eyes.  Everyone has their personal opinion on the size of sunglasses they prefer and I feel like these could be called medium.  They are big enough that they cover your eyes completely, but don’t take up your entire face.  The lightweight frames also help prevent the typical headache I have with sunglasses.

One of the big challenges I have had with larger sunglasses has been how they take away your peripheral vision on the sides.  The lenses on these sunglasses wrap around a little farther on the sides of your temple to allow for better peripheral vision and excellent UV protection.  The best thing about these glasses is how well they completely block the sun.  As they are Bruce Irons Signature Series they have been designed to battle the harsh toll the beach can have on your eyes and they definitely work, I feel like there is a force field around my eyes with these glasses on.

The downside: $100.  This pair of sunglasses costs a cool one hundred bones when you buy from oakley.com or at any Oakley store.  Now, Oakley offers an excellent warranty with all of its sunglasses and you definitely get what you pay for with these sunglasses.  However, I am just not ready to spend $100 on a pair of sunglasses, even a pair this effective.  Nevertheless, if you have the cash and you are looking for a new pair of surf sunglasses that block the sun, look cool, and fit well, then these might be the glasses for you.  Check them out.
