Sipping Jetstreams 1Taylor Steele is a legend in the surfing industry and known to have produced some of the best surf films ever. In one of his recent film’s, “Sipping Jetstreams“, he teams up with surf photographer Dustin Humpreys, and shows his ability to capture more than just surfing. In “Sipping Jetstreams”, Taylor Steele literally takes you with him into the countries that he visits, and you feel like you have experienced his travels with him. He shows you the faces and the lives of the people that live in places like Morocco, Japan, Hong Kong, Barbados, Cuba, Italy, Egypt and more. The vivid colors in the footage draw you into these small surf towns around the world. This surf movie combines the right mix of artistic footage and editing, and really good surfing.

Sipping Jetstreams 2“Sipping Jetstreams” follows surfers like Andy Irons, Dave Rastovich, Kelly Slater, Donavon Frankenreiter, and many more, through their travels to unique surf spots around the world. As this surf movie progresses, it instills in you a longing to travel and experience other countries in the way that Taylor Steele experiences them. Although “Sipping Jetstreams” is very artistic, don’t be fooled into thinking that the surfing won’t be that great. There is some incredible surfing in this movie.

My personal favorite part is Kelly Slater surfing in Barbados. It is some of the best barrel surfing I have ever seen. In one wave Kelly is riding on the foam ball in the barrel twice and still makes it out. To sum it up, “Sipping Jetstreams” is very visually appealing and travel inspiring. If you want to get yourself excited for upcoming surf trips, this is a good movie to watch.
